Bucs Falcons Blackout Lifted for Sundays Game November 21 2012

The Bucs Game Will Be Televised!!!

We here at the Chevy Volt Blog declare and we are the first to do this, Sundays Game vs the Falcons to have reached 85% capacity!!!!

After recently counting all the available seats on the upper deck level of the Visitors sideline and coming to a tally of only 1264 seats.  I can't imagine the Bucs not reaching if they haven't by now 85%.  I predict a complete sellout by Sunday.

So get ready to fire up those HDTV's and pop a few cheap store bought beers Bucs Fans!



Update:  Section 315 had over 70 seats available just a couple hours ago and now there are about 40.. I'm going to take this as a good sign and predict this game will be televised.. Let's sell it out completely though! GO BUCS,  Tonight I'll do a full count of the stadium and see if we've reached the magic 85% number.  Check back at 9 pm


Gave my intern a break, I personally counted a couple more sections on the other side upper deck and there were many many more seats available on the visiting side.  Over 420 seats available in sections 335 and 336 alone.  This makes me a little more nervous and I'm going back to 50 50 that the game will be televised.

Next update in about 1 hour say around noon I'll have a much better idea as to if or if not this game will be on TV sunday.


First Update on my Ticket Count for Sundays Game vs the Falcons
I have one of my interns counting each section individually on Tickemaster's website as they would not give me a number of tickets available on the phone.

Here is the tally so far for the upper deck southwest 1/4th quadrant of the stadium.

We have counted what we find to be the most desirable quadrant however so this number is probably higher.  We will continue to count and update you all!  We need the total available tickets number to be 9,886.  I think we're looking good!



My current prediction on whether or not this game will be televised is currently 70/30

     As the 1 p.m. deadline for an 85 percent capacity status looms we Bucs fans (and less importantly Falcon fans) are hoping Ray Jay stadium can hit that magic number. Central Florida fans who can't make the game are depending on it!

     As of yesterday morning there were 7400 tickets that needed to be sold.  These numbers were released by the Bucs.  There is no way to get an exact number of what is left, however we can do some extrapolating.  At the same time there were 4000 tickets available on Stubhub.  As of 8:22 a.m. on Wednesday November 21st 2012 Stubhub is showing 3,338 available.

     It's impossible to know how many more tickets have been made available to Stubhub both by fans and by the Bucs themselves as they have a deal with Stubhub.  However, if you subtract the 650 tickets from a total of 4,000 you get a little over 16 percent.

     Now some of the tickets on stubhub are pre-sold so they don't count towards lifting the blackout, however I would assume people still buy more tickets on Ticketmaster than do Stubhub and there are also people buying tickets at the Stadium, which also goes through Ticketmaster.

     I'm about to perform the laborious task of counting every seat if need be on Ticketmasters website, but first I'll call ticketmaster and tell them I'm a blogger and see if they'll give me a number.
